Similar to fear, sadness is all-encompassing and completely overwhelming but while fear exists outside of the body, sadness lives within. The colour of sadness, to me is a greenish blue; a very specific teal-like shade that makes my shoulders hunch and heart hurt just to think of. Yet, I feel drawn to this colour for its true expression of melancholy. Surprisingly, teal’s cousin aqua symbolizes the vibrancy, excitement and pure joy of being alive so this is the colour I have used for the background behind the profile of my poor sad soul.
