Similar to the cut of a gemstone, Brilliance is a fibre art piece that mirrors its namesake - that is pieces shaped in such a way to allow maximum light and sparkle. A cascade of purple and pink fabrics were cut up, sewn together, cut and sewn again to provide the layers necessary for the effect of something beautiful, precious and rare. The stitching on the back provides an architectural detail to a stately dark batik.
